Make an impact at The City Mission

If you're wondering, "How can I get involved?" here are four specific ways you can join The City Mission as a partner:

Pray
The City Mission is God's work, not ours. The primary reason we have been successful and blessed in our endeavors is because of the faithful prayer support of a host of people. Would you consider regularly upholding the ministry of The City Mission through your prayers?

Donate Needed Items
Many of the items given out at The City Mission comes from folks like you who donate food, clothing, blankets, sheets, personal hygiene items, etc. New underwear, socks and pajamas usually top the list of greatest needs. Perhaps you could organize a drive to collect these and other items through your church, civic group, or circle of friends.

Financial Support
Since its beginning in 1910, The City Mission has reached out to help the needy of Cleveland supported exclusively by the private sector. The generous support from thousands of individuals, churches, businesses and foundations over the years has allowed us to grow in ministry as the needs around us have grown.

Along with your individual contributions, you may honor a loved one or remember a deceased friend or relative with a gift in his or her name through an Honor or Memorial Gift. In addition, the Mission is blessed through bequests from estates and wills. There are also many corporations that offer matching gift plans for their employees - call your Human Resources department to verify your company's participation in this valuable community outreach.

While we are not a United Way agency, we would receive 50% of funds specifically designated to The City Mission during United Way campaigns after their administrative fee is deducted. If you make an annual pledge to United Way, just write in "The City Mission" on your designation card.
